So, we are over the hump this week and I have been extremely busy styling for weddings and birthday events! Today I want to share what I call my nautical look. I am wearing a maxi dress which I purchased from The Limited last summer. This dress is fabulous and as you guys know, I truly love The Limited. I have been shopping there for over 20 years! And yes, I started shopping at age 3 (lol)! I want to show you how you can dress-up a striped maxi dress by simply adding a jacket and a pair of shimmering shoes. Because my dress is green and navy I went for gold accessories and shoes. I feel this look came out fabulous. If you notice, on some of the pictures I added a belt and pulled the dress up some to give it a two-piece effect. As women, we sometimes buy items that we only wear one time or maybe never wear. And most of the time it’s because we are unsure of how to wear it or what to wear it with. I always say be creative and think outside the box. For instance, can you wear a maxi dress to work? Depending on your work dress code, more than likely you can. A maxi dress looks great with a nice blazer or jacket and a pair of heels. Just remember to keep the look toned down for your work place.
