Today, I am sharing a video illustration of hair stylist, Tandrika Drake, owner and operator of Images Of A Diva, making a difference for her client who suffers from ALOPECIA. There are millions of women who suffer from ALOPECIA. It is a type of hair loss that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, which is where hair growth begins. Because hair is an important part of our appearance, hair loss can result in persons feeling unattractive. So, I thought it was a great idea to show just how important hair stylists are and how they can make a difference in peoples lives with conditions that cause hair loss.
The video illustrated is a client who suffers from severe androgenic ALOPECIA ( Hair is lost in a well-defined pattern, beginning above both temples. Over time, the hairline recedes to form a characteristic “M” shape. Hair also thins at the crown (near the top of the head), often progressing to partial or complete baldness.
The client you see has been coming to me as a client for 2 years to give her a full hair effect to help promote her confidence as she goes about her everyday life. What is used here is a lace frontal unit across the front with a partial sew in along the back. This service allows the client to be able to where her hair free with a few pull up options to give her the 100% confidence she needs throughout her day!
Services such as this normally cost on average 250+ dollars for initial install following up bi-weekly/monthly maintenance( depending on the severity of wear and tear) of course follow up appointments won’t cost as much but should be routinely for the remainder of the install,which generally set to last anywhere from 2/3 months.
